SMOLÍČEK or A Fairy Tale out of a Suitcase

SMOLÍČEK or A Fairy Tale out of a Suitcase

2 women and puppets, or a woman and man with puppets; second version - 1 woman and puppets

This fairy tale hardly needs any introduction. Anyway, here goes: A stag encounters the lost little boy called “Smolíček” deep in the woods, and they proceed to live together in a cottage. The stag provides for Smolíček, and they both have a great time. However, nasty cave witches – Jezinkas - prowl around the cottage, aiming to kidnap the boy. Naturally they succeed, but the stag does not let matters stand, and goes off to rescue Smolíček. This production of the famous tale relies on direct contact with its young audience. The author in fact proposes two different versions. The first one is for two actresses, or one actor and actress each. The second version is for one actress. Naturally, the production is enlivened by music and memorable tunes.
